App used to have a keyboard for command entry. It no longer does. I'm hearing impaired, so voice commands are problematic. I really would appreciate having the ability to type commands again. Also, because only voice commands, and my hearing issues, it rarely understands what I'm saying. *a year later and this is still an issue. seriously, a keyboard option for us with hearing issues. come on. 7-25-25

I can never connect a device in one go. There's always an issue in some connection step. Any troubleshooting is a pain to go through and not easy to follow. I dread everytime I have to open the app to connect a new device. You should also be able to ignore devices found if they aren't yours. I shouldn't have to skip over the device a neighbor has over and over to just try to find the one I'm trying to set up.

With the most recent update, it now consistently shows that I cannot connect to the Home. Re-adding my Nest Hub Max was also painful because of having to switch between the legacy Nest app and Google Home, and even then the camera hardly ever connects. They've also neutered routine functionality; I can no longer set lights to go on and off at specific times through a single routine.
