Positional awareness of the iO is poor. The area I'm brushing isn't the area shown whitening in the app, so I finish with "67%, incomplete coverage" because it never realizes that I covered that spot. Apparently starting in the back isn't supported, only starting front and center. I do find the app more intuitive for changing light colors, language, and favorite mode.

We are disappointed to hear that position detection has not been tracking correctly. To improve your score, we recommend standing straight in front of the mirror and slowly guiding the brush from tooth to tooth. If this does not help, we encourage you to give our team a call at (800) 566-7252 so we are better able to assist you.

A week ago, the app started crashing as soon as I turned my toothbrush off when I finished brushing. It logged some sessions, but not all of them. I decided to uninstall the app and re-install it and it doesn't crash anymore, except now all my previous data is useless. I signed into my account and while my previous sessions do appear in the history tab, they all are listed as "unguided" which means they don't count for anything, and is especially frustrating given they were ALL guided sessions.

Pamela, we're so sorry to hear your sessions have changed to unguided, & that the app has been crashing. It may help to sign out and sign back in. If you continue to have troubles, please call us at (800) 566-7252.

The app is inaccurate. When I brush my molars, it says I’m brushing my front teeth; when I move to my front teeth, it marks them as already complete. I end up brushing for nearly three minutes just to get a decent score, otherwise, the app scolds me for not brushing properly. I brush one tooth at a time as instructed in the app, it is just faulty. Also, I have a few pulled teeth, which cannot be accounted for, adding to the inaccuracies.
